Features: The footsteps of history have entered a new millennium. Over the past few thousand years, humans have created splendid civilizations, the fruits of which have profoundly influenced the course of history, enabling us to live in a materially abundant and spiritually rich environment today. The transmission of knowledge is the fundamental reason why human civilization has been able to flourish despite various destructions over the millennia. Youth at the dawn of the new millennium bear the responsibility of diligently learning and inheriting the knowledge accumulated by predecessors, including knowledge in natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This series of "Youth Science Education Books · Life Science Series" holds great significance. Due to the tight schedule and heavy workload, I immediately summoned a group of young Ph.D. students who had returned from abroad in recent years. We held multiple discussions together, brainstorming on topics, outlines, and content, fully leveraging the collective wisdom and spirit of teamwork. Based on the modern disciplinary divisions and research progress in life sciences, we selected nine aspects to focus on and introduce several hot areas of life sciences. This series was written and compiled by over 20 young teachers and graduate students.
