Features: In Kandinsky's spiritual triangle, the poet Maurice Maeterlinck, the composer Richard Wagner, and the Symbolist painters Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Arnold B?cklin, and Giovanni Segantini occupied the highest positions. For Kandinsky, the Belgian poet and playwright Maurice Maeterlinck was one of the earliest artistic seers. The characters in his works, such as Princess Malra, the blind, etc., are souls searching for direction in the fog, and the nameless fear is the world in which his protagonists reside. Concerning Point and Line to Plane is a sequel to Kandinsky's important theoretical work Concerning the Spiritual in Art. In this book, he systematically explains his understanding of painting elements, analyzing each element both externally and internally. Kandinsky described the analysis in this book as "microscopic." In terms of external concepts, each individual line or shape in painting is an element. In terms of internal concepts, the element is not the shape itself but the inherent tension active within it.
