Features: "Descendants of the Prophet Muhammad" is one of the "Cross-Century Series of Family Records of Ethnic Groups in China." At the request of friends, it was supplemented and revised before being published as a standalone book. The purpose of writing and publishing this book is to provide an exemplary case for ethnological researchers to study the Hui ethnic group, offering a window into the inner world of the Hui people. At the same time, it allows people to understand history, society, and the Hui Muslim community through the record of the family history of Na Zhong, making it possible for foreigners unfamiliar with China—regardless of their feelings toward us—to form an objective view of the history and current state of China's ethnic groups and religious beliefs. The book introduces us in a detailed and vivid documentary style the family history of Mr. Na Zhong, a renowned Arab historian at Beijing Foreign Studies University and the 32nd descendant of Muhammad, as well as the descendant of Saidianjin, the first Chief Administrator of Yunnan in the Yuan Dynasty. It showcases the historical and current state of the ethnic and folk cultural traditions of the Hui Islamic religion, including aspects of religious belief.
