Features: Clinical diagnosis and treatment is a highly time-sensitive special job. The phrase "Time is health, time is life" is entirely appropriate. For each patient, an early diagnosis and timely, rational treatment are crucial: mild cases can be cured and recovered more quickly, while critical cases can be saved from the brink of death. The urgency of "gaining every second" is a professional characteristic of healthcare workers. This is fully reflected in the noble virtue of white-coated warriors "saving lives and healing the sick, practicing revolutionary humanitarianism." The Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, a hospital with over 110 years of history, has developed a tradition of quick, efficient, and accurate diagnosis and treatment through long-term and extensive medical practice. It has accumulated rich and proven experience in treating acute, critical, difficult, and common diseases. In recent years, through extensive domestic and international academic exchanges, it has also formed new experiences with modern high-tech characteristics. It is believed that it is necessary to summarize and organize these experiences for clinical doctors, especially those in training and internships, and community grassroots medical workers to refer to, in order to benefit the general public. This book was thus created.
The Physician Quick Reference Series is a series of practical handbooks organized by experienced senior physicians with rich clinical experience from our hospital to facilitate clinical doctors in quickly accessing diagnostic and treatment information for different departments and professional diseases in their busy work. The series will be published in various volumes, including Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, etc., for the convenience of doctors in different specialties. The content writing features are: starting from clinical symptoms, introducing relevant diseases, including common, frequent, difficult, critical, and rare diseases, with items such as clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, and treatment methods, providing readers with mature, novel, and effective diagnostic and treatment plans. Additionally, this book provides specific answers to problems commonly encountered in clinical practice and teaching, serving as a reference to prevent potential diagnostic and treatment errors. At the end of the book, there is a list of normal values for clinical laboratory tests for the convenience of clinical doctors.
The compilers believe that this series of books is comprehensive in its data, standardized in content, concise and clear, easy to consult, practical and efficient, and time-saving. How effective it is in practice will still depend on the clinical practice of the readers for final judgment. Due to the busy nature of clinical work and the tight schedule of writing, coupled with limitations in writing skills, shortcomings and omissions are inevitable. We kindly ask the readers to criticize and correct them, so that they can be revised and supplemented for improvement in the next edition.
