This teaching material has been piloted for three years and has received praise from all sectors of society across the country. It is now officially published by Hubei People's Publishing House. Children's Abacus and Mental Arithmetic integrates knowledge, fun, science, and systematicity, featuring vivid illustrations and an engaging, enjoyable learning approach, fully reflecting the characteristics of abacus and mental arithmetic teaching and early childhood education. It serves as an effective way to promote quality education for children.
The primary level focuses on abacus and mental arithmetic addition and subtraction within 10, where the concept of complements is directly integrated into the teaching of making 10. The intermediate level emphasizes abacus and mental arithmetic for carrying addition and borrowing subtraction. The advanced level covers abacus and mental arithmetic for multiplication and division. To align with elementary school curricula, the multiplication section also introduces the method of calculating from the lower digits to the higher digits.
The entire teaching material has been designed with children's learning abilities in mind, ensuring it is easy to understand, progressive, and scientifically structured. It is suitable for children in middle and upper kindergarten classes, preschool, and primary school. Accompanying teacher manuals and practice exercises are also available for purchase.
