Features: The evolution of the Soviet Union is a product of the comprehensive interaction of multiple factors, but its decisive factor is the humane democratic socialist reformist line. Due to the existence of this factor, it led to the interaction between historical and realistic factors that triggered the Soviet evolution, turning what were originally potential issues solvable through reform into actual outcomes. The evolution of Eastern Europe and the dissolution of the Soviet Union, in essence, were due to problems within the ruling Communist Party, which abandoned its nature as the vanguard of the working class, no longer adhered to Marxist guidance, the goal of communism, the principle of serving the people, and the organizational principle of democratic centralism. As a result, errors occurred in the line and a series of policies. The lesson from the Soviet evolution lies in the fact that, on one hand, socialism must persist in reform, continuously eliminating contradictions and issues in socialist practice through innovative reforms to better perfect and develop socialism. On the other hand, reforms must adhere to the socialist direction to ensure the socialist nature of the reforms.
