Features: This book is a planned teaching material for vocational colleges and technical schools under the Ministry of Education, written according to the newly formulated "Basic Requirements for Teaching Management Courses in Vocational Colleges and Technical Schools" by the Ministry of Education. The book is divided into three parts, totaling nine chapters. Part 1 serves as the foundation of management knowledge, introducing the management system (management subject, management object, management methods, and management environment) and management thought (history of management development, management principles, and organizational culture). Part 2 is the core and focus of the book, catering to the needs of cultivating management qualities and skills for vocational college and technical school students, systematically studying the general functions of management and their corresponding theories, practices, and techniques (the four major functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling). Part 3 adapts to the requirements of different majors in economic management for business management knowledge, introducing the basic business functions of enterprises (enterprise management, production management, and financial management). The main part of the book, i.e., the management functions, is a required course for all majors in economic management, while the business function management is offered as an optional course based on the needs of different majors. This textbook is designed as a foundational course for students in economic management majors at vocational colleges, technical colleges, and adult colleges.
