Fundamentals of Engineering Mathematics Analysis - Volume 1

Author: Wang Miansen
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2000-07-01
Features: This book can be used as a textbook for undergraduate students in non-mathematics majors of higher vocational and technical colleges with higher mathematical requirements, and is also suitable for other majors and social readers. This book is the research result of the Ministry of Education's "Reform Plan for Teaching Content and Curriculum Systems in Higher Education Towards the 21st Century," and is a 21st-century curriculum textbook and the "Nineth Five-Year Plan" teaching material for the engineering mathematics discipline of the Ministry of Education. It is also a national key textbook for general higher education under the "Nineth Five-Year Plan." The book is published in two volumes. Chapters 1-4 are in the first volume, with the main content being single-variable calculus and infinite series. Chapters 5-8 are in the second volume, with the main content being multivariable calculus, systems of ordinary differential equations, and an introduction to infinite-dimensional analysis. The book explains the theory of limits based on the completeness of real numbers, introduces concepts such as uniform continuity, uniform convergence, and parameter-dependent integrals to broaden and strengthen the foundation. It uses algebraic knowledge such as vectors and matrices to express relevant content in analysis, studies systems of differential equations and spatial curves and surfaces. It employs modern mathematical language, terminology, and symbols, and provides a window for learning modern mathematics and an interface for further development. The scope of applied examples is expanded, highlighting the explanation of mathematical thinking methods and strengthening the cultivation of applied mathematical abilities. The exercises are divided into two categories, A and B, and are accompanied by comprehensive practice questions. The answers and hints for the exercises are provided at the end of the book.
