Features: Basic Economic Applied Mathematics is a required course for finance, economics, and management majors. However, certain content in the course can be challenging for some readers, especially self-learners, due to difficulties in understanding certain concepts or mastering calculation techniques. As a result, many readers seek reference books for this course. In response to this demand, we have written this book. It can serve as a "teaching reference" for instructors teaching the course, a "study and exam guide" for current students and self-examination candidates, a "pre-exam preparation" resource for working finance and economics professionals seeking self-improvement or aiming to apply for postgraduate programs in finance and economics, and a "review guide" for tutoring and preparation classes. Each chapter of the book includes three main sections: "Analysis and Summaries of Key Concepts and Theorems," "Selected Examples," and "Exercises with Solutions." In the "Analysis and Summaries of Key Concepts and Theorems," emphasis is placed on "difficulty analysis" and "pattern summarization." It does not cover all the content to be learned or mastered but focuses on analyzing and explaining concepts and methods that are difficult to understand or master—i.e., the difficulties and doubts students face. This helps guide students to correctly identify, understand, and deepen their comprehension of key concepts, methods, and challenging problems. Additionally, it summarizes patterns to help readers organize and reinforce their knowledge more systematically.
