Viceroy of Hubei and Hunan

Features: To enhance the public's understanding of history beyond the influence of works, we have compiled the "Series of High Officials." I do not consider this knowledge series to be purely history; it is certainly far from the original historical context. The selected figures may not be entirely appropriate, and the descriptions of events may not be entirely accurate. We cannot use this to converse with the ancients, nor can readers derive any patterns from it. We only hope to provide a vivid portrayal of the various governors and inspectors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, to pay attention to their rise and fall, glory and disgrace, to account for their achievements and shortcomings, and to focus on the eras in which they lived and the reflections of their deeds. If readers can gain an understanding of these governors and inspectors through this, thereby forming a general outline of that era, then our purpose will have been achieved.
