Features: The root of all issues in language teaching, with other problems being like branches growing from this root. Therefore, I delved into books on linguistics, psychology, pedagogy, and philosophy. Later, a work on psycholinguistics inspired me, leading me to firmly believe that the core of language ability is linguistic intuition, which is rooted in genetic predisposition inherited from parents and transformed through the postnatal language environment. The reason our language teaching has strayed into and lacks efficiency is due to a misunderstanding of this fundamental concept. Listening and reading are the foundation and the key. Listening has a limited scope; reading, in fact, is essentially reading aloud to oneself, which is the primary way to cultivate linguistic intuition. Words express the heart, and reading is not a one-way input but a dialogue and fusion of the soul. Many scattered and fragmented life experiences, often unnoticed in daily life, are often awakened by the words of the text during reading. These experiences are then consolidated and ignited, leading people into a completely new spiritual realm.
