Complete Works of Zhu Ziqing, Volume 11

Author: Zhu Qiaosen
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1998-03-01
Features: This volume includes 286 letters by the author, along with a few works discovered after the first eight volumes of this "Collected Works" were compiled and published, which are presented as "Supplements." Among the letters, the largest number—many of which had never been published before—may likely pique the interest of readers and researchers. These are primarily the author's letters to his wife, Chen Zhuyin, totaling 75. Of these, 71 were written during their premarital love affair. The remaining four, written after their marriage, are essentially love letters as well. The other letters are mostly written to friends, colleagues, teachers, students, and relatives.
