Features: Alzheimer's disease is a common chronic mental decline disorder occurring in the elderly, and it is also a common neurodegenerative disease. Clinically, it is primarily characterized by memory decline, cognitive dysfunction, and changes in mental behavior, severely impacting the quality of life and lifespan of the elderly. Although Alzheimer's disease is gradually becoming one of the important diseases among the elderly in China, it has not yet attracted public attention. Surveys show that 47% of caregivers for dementia patients believe the symptoms are a result of natural aging. Currently, the consultation rate for mild dementia patients is only 14%, for moderate dementia patients is 25%, and for severe dementia patients is 34%. Early diagnosis and early treatment of Alzheimer's disease are highly effective in improving patients' quality of life and extending their lifespan. Therefore, it is particularly important to enhance the popularization of basic knowledge about Alzheimer's disease. In light of this, we referred to relevant literature and wrote this book. The book primarily introduces Alzheimer's disease from aspects such as general knowledge for hospitalized dementia patients, basic knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, diagnosis, treatment, care, and rehabilitation. During the writing process, we strive for simplicity and clarity while also incorporating some new research hot topics, such as the concept of mild cognitive impairment. The book introduces Alzheimer's disease from aspects such as general knowledge for hospitalized dementia patients, basic knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, diagnosis, treatment, care, and rehabilitation.
