Features: This book primarily focuses on the works of Qu Yuan, selecting twenty-three of his pieces, one by Song Yu, and one by Jia Yi. The works whose authors are unknown, such as "You You," "Bu Ju," and "Yu Fu," are included as they are valuable materials for studying Qu Yuan's thoughts and life. Song Yu's "Jiu Bian" is a product directly influenced by Qu Yuan's creativity; Jia Yi's "Diao Qu Yuan" is a direct tribute to Qu Yuan. The majority of the works included in this book are those that excel both in ideological content and artistic form, where content and form are unified. All "Sao" style poems that meet this principle are included in the selection. This book is mainly compiled and annotated based on the Ming-era photocopied Song edition of "Chu Ci Bu Zhu" and the Song Duanping edition of "Chu Ci Ji Zhu," while also referencing other important annotations from past dynasties. For textual differences between the various editions, the better choice is adopted; variant readings that are worth referencing are summarized and noted. In the annotations, emphasis is placed on resolving textual exegesis and clarifying the meanings of sentences, so that readers can, based on understanding the text, grasp the ideological content of the works.
