Features: A graded guide for appreciating essential music. Beethoven said, "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." Indeed, those who have been nurtured by music proudly say, "I have been baptized by emotion and reason!" The "Golden Music Hall—Graded Guide for Appreciating Essential Music" you hold comes in a set of 9 books, designed from the perspective of the music recipient to understand your journey of the heart. You will find that the arrangement of musical works in this set is based on the ease of auditory perception and follows the (context) of musical performance genres. Each level is divided into four parts: "Solo Instrument/Solo Voice," "Chamber Music," "Orchestral Music," and "Concerto."
In terms of repertoire selection, works with diverse styles, typical compositions, strong evocative power, and clear titles are placed in Levels 1-5, while rational and logically structured works are placed in Levels 6-9. Starting from Level 6, the selection reduces solo and solo voice pieces while increasing orchestral and concerto content. The repertoire of the entire set covers classical and romantic works from the 17th to 19th centuries in the West, modern and contemporary music from the 20th century, as well as classic traditional Chinese music and compositions. The accompanying CDs include many excellent recorded versions with ideal sound quality.
"The Related Music Terms" section is designed for general music enthusiasts to explain terms that have appeared in the work analysis, ensuring the implementation of "knowledge content." In addition to the prescribed repertoire, each book also includes "Reference Repertoire," aiming to provide listeners with more musical works of the same appreciation level.
Now, let’s step into the magnificent "Golden Music Hall" together!
