Features: The series "Globalization, Informatization, and School Reform" was recently published by East China Normal University Press. The series consists of three relatively independent yet interconnected works and collections of essays: "Education Globalization: Chinese Perspectives and Issues" by Wu Zhihui, "School Reform in the Globalization Process: A Methodological Perspective" by Yang Xiaowei, and "Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization" by Ye Lan et al. The series is a collection of research outcomes from the major project "Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization," a significant research initiative undertaken by the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development under the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Base. As the editor-in-chief states in the preface, "It is a product of the collaborative efforts and rigorous research of the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development. It is also a research outcome of a project funded through a competitive bidding process, and thus a product of the reform of China's social science research system." The book "Education Globalization: Chinese Perspectives and Issues" was written at a time when the study of "globalization" had become a hot topic. This work clarifies various viewpoints in the concept and theory of "globalization" and explores its relationship with educational reform, offering evaluations. The author also discusses the issue of "education globalization" from the perspective of China and its specific challenges. The book "School Reform in the Globalization Process: A Methodological Perspective" focuses on the historical evolution of methodologies in school reform and the contemporary pluralistic state, set against the backdrop of globalization's progress and the localization processes in several major countries. The methodological issues of school reform proposed in this book hold significant inspirational value. The collection "Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization" is a collection of essays, primarily divided into three parts: Part 1 is "Research Reports," including: the final report on the research project "School Education Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization," issues and challenges faced by schools in the context of globalization, "Learning Society" from a global perspective and its implications for basic education reform, research on school reform in the context of informatization, etc.; Part 2 is "Investigation Reports," including: an investigation report on the status of "basic education reform in China's primary and secondary schools," school reform amid social change—investigating school reform issues in Shanghai, the current state of quality evaluation in compulsory education: issues and countermeasures, etc.; Part 3 is "Special Studies," including: a comparative study between China and Japan on the impact of social environmental changes on student development, an analysis of the fundamental components of contemporary moral education in China, reflections on school moral education in the era of globalization, etc.
