It does not merely focus on the process and works of each craft but rises to the level of the entire Wumen culture to explore the intricate connections between these crafts and the larger cultural system they originate from. It infuses humanistic thinking and a historical perspective into the presentation of crafts. (When the heavens have their time, the earth has its breath, materials have their beauty, and workers have their skill—only when these four are combined can something be considered excellent). The pursuit of the cultural roots of these Jiangnan exquisite skills has created a narrative atmosphere that is both profound and dynamic.
