In this sense, wine is the enemy of fashion—it requires a lot of patience. Whether it's for snobbery or chasing trends, you must learn and wait, and wait and learn, to slowly appreciate its nuances.
The History of Wine—Tracing the Aroma Backward
Wine might be the oldest beverage, although there is no clear written record. However, various signs indicate that humans began to make wine as early as 7,000 years ago. The history of wine is almost as old as the history of human culture. Many legends about wine are passed down in the myths and legends of the world's ancient civilizations. The Bible is full of references to vineyards and wine. According to the French Food Association (SOPEXA), the Bible mentions vineyards and wine at least 521 times.
Shanghai, always at the forefront of trends, naturally accepted and embraced imported wine at the earliest. In the 19th century, the young aristocrats of Shanghai were already drinking French CALVET as a fashion. In 1881, the wealthy businessman Zhang Bishi conceived the idea of establishing a winery. When he was appointed as the first consul of China in Penang, Malaysia, he began to plan for the winery. By May 1, 1914, Zhang Bishi's wine was finally launched for sale. From then on, there was a family-owned winery, which later became the Zhangyu Winery.
