Features: Phonetic Color Illustration Classic World Literature. Have you heard of the legendary story of the Mysterious Traveler? He is famously known as the Braggart King. It is said that he is incredibly strong—lifting himself out of a mud with just his; breaking a horseshoe with a single touch. Some say he has many extraordinary abilities—sparks from his eyes can ignite gunpowder, and milk can be processed into butter in his stomach. His strange adventures are countless: flying with wild ducks, pulling a sled with wolves is nothing out of the ordinary; strolling around in a fish's belly is also commonplace. When bored, he would sit in a volcano's crater, and he has even traveled to the moon and Mars for sightseeing. Of course, as a knight, he has naturally experienced countless battles—once flying high in the sky with a cannonball, and once charging into enemy camps riding half a warhorse. But if you were told that he would go mad even if a mad dog bit his coat, would you still believe it? But these are all his personal experiences. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen was originally a story told by the 18th-century German baron, Count von Munchausen, and later rewritten by the German writers E. Raspe and G. Bilfinger. E. Raspe was born in 1737 into a noble family in Hanover, Germany. He was highly knowledgeable and wise, having studied mineralogy, geology, volcanology, and linguistics. G. Bilfinger was born in 1747 and was a renowned narrative poet during Germany's Sturm und Drang period. However, he lived in poverty and died of tuberculosis in 1794. The Phonetic Color Illustration Classic World Literature series launched this time is a carefully illustrated and specially dedicated collection for young readers, based on the original works. Its combination of text and illustrations, along with standardized phonetic annotations that meet primary school teaching standards, fully meets the reading needs of elementary school students.
