Zhuangzi said - The Sound of Nature's Flute: The Sound of Nature's Flute

Author: Cai Zhizhong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2000-01-01
Features: Looking at pictures is certainly more interesting than reading a passage of text. While pictures cannot convey motion, they can convey meaning. The more carefully you look, the more you can discover the profound insights within them. Illustrations in a book can further enhance the reader's interest. If you focus only on the pictures and not the text, connecting each picture together, that is a comic strip. Don't think that these two methods of illustration were introduced from the West. In fact, they have long existed in China. Illustrating Zhuangzi's fables cannot use a realistic style—it would just become a conversation between two old men, lacking any interest. Nor can it use the mechanical, stroke-by-stroke style of Japanese manga, as that would distort the original meaning.
