Features: This series plans to include columns such as "Frontier Theoretical Discussions," "Theoretical Stylistic Interpretations," "Studies on Masters of 20th-Century Literary Theory," "New Works Reviews," and "Interviews with Renowned Scholars." Each research paper is accompanied by a bilingual abstract (Chinese and English) of approximately 800 words, aiming to introduce the latest research findings of Chinese scholars to the international academic community. Through years of effort, we are confident that we will leave behind a rich spiritual legacy for future literary theoretical studies. In this issue, under the column "Frontier Theoretical Discussions," we published three long essays by Chinese scholars, respectively exploring ecological theory criticism, postcolonial theory and thought, and the issue of modernity/postmodernity. For these cutting-edge theoretical topics in the current international literary theory field, these three scholars have based their research on extensive first-hand original materials, building upon previous studies or their own research to delve deeper and attempt to voice the distinct perspectives of Chinese scholars. The fourth essay, written by a Western scholar, attempts to theorize postcolonial writing from a genre studies perspective, providing a solid reference for our future in-depth research on this topic.
