Based on a review and summary of the history and experience of establishing the framework of the socialist market economy system over the past 10 years, this book conducts comprehensive theoretical and empirical analysis of the challenges, issues, and difficulties faced by China in improving the socialist market economy system in the next stage. It provides an in-depth discussion on the direction, basic tasks, and key areas of medium- and long-term reforms, proposing a series of policy measures that can be chosen. As a research outcome of policy consultation by the Development Research Center of the State Council, this book not only holds significant theoretical importance for the development and improvement of China's socialist market economy system but also positively influences the government and relevant departments in clarifying reform strategies and formulating related policies. The 30 research reports mainly include five parts:

2. 4. Research on the difficulties, issues, and reform measures in areas such as investment and financing, the reform of state-owned commercial banks, monetary policy, fiscal systems, and planning systems from the perspective of strengthening macro-control.
5. An in-depth study and discussion on the direction, framework, and policy measures for the institutional construction and improvement of social security systems, income distribution systems, science and technology systems, intellectual property systems, standard systems, urban asset management systems, and the reform of administrative and public institutions from the perspective of coordinated socio-economic development and ensuring social justice.
