Historians' meridian

Author: Sun Longji
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-06-01
Features: This collection is a culmination of the author's efforts over the past decade. Originally intended to include 10 articles that had been published in academic journals and periodicals, with revisions and expansions planned before publication. Five of the articles underwent significant revisions, and by the submission deadline, their combined length had nearly reached the original estimate of 10 articles. As a result, the article "A Thousand Years of China: A Global Historical Perspective" was removed. It represents macro-historical thinking and was part of the author's millennium research plan, which had already evolved into a book, making further revisions unnecessary. From a comparative perspective between China and the West, it becomes evident that their cultures are deeply interconnected. This book selects multiple articles by the Chinese scholar Sun Longji over the years, focusing on both Lu Xun and the "third gender" in American popular culture as it relates to Easterners. His arguments are well-supported and compelling.
