Why are there few follicles and the fertilized egg does not develop well?

Patient's question:

I am 32 years old and have undergone two IVF cycles, one with a long protocol and one with a short protocol, with a three-month interval between each. Both attempts failed! In both cycles, there were five to eight follicles detected, but only three eggs were retrieved each time. The fertilized eggs did not divide and develop. Why is this happening?

Doctor's answer:

Analysis of the condition: If there are chromosomal abnormalities in sperm, eggs, or zygotes, it can lead to non-development, resulting in natural miscarriage.
Recommendation: You can undergo a chromosomal test, a semen and seminal fluid test, a blood type test, some genetic disease tests, and some internal medicine disease tests to identify and address the issues.
