Features: With the steady advancement of the process of governing the country according to law and building a socialist rule-of-law state, as well as the deepening reform of the People's Courts, the scientific proposition of judicial professionalism, which had long been overlooked, has been historically placed before the People's Courts, becoming a new rule-of-law issue with distinct characteristics of the era. In July 2002, the Supreme People's Court first prominently proposed at the National Team Building Work Conference the historical task of cultivating and shaping a high-quality, professionalized judicial team to ensure the smooth progress of all judicial work. At the National Team Building Work Conference of the People's Courts, President Xiao Yang of the Supreme People's Court pointed out that the construction of judicial professionalism is a major shift in the team building policy of the People's Courts in the new era, a concrete manifestation of actively practicing the important thought of the "Three Represents," and a main thread in the team building of the People's Courts for a considerable period to come. The Supreme People's Court's "Several Significance of Strengthening the Professionalization Construction of the Judicial Team" comprehensively and accurately explains the main tasks, principles, and basic content of judicial team professionalization, which holds significant guiding significance for the professionalization construction of judicial teams at all levels of the People's Courts nationwide. In the new historical development stage, the construction of judicial professionalism will be a long-term, major strategic task facing the People's Courts.
