Child psychology and counseling

Author: Zeng Wenxing (Compiler)
Publisher:
Publish Date: July 1, 2001
Features: This book is based on the earlier publication "Children's Development and Mental Health" by the author, with revisions and additions. It particularly includes more content on counseling. To facilitate practical application, some case studies are provided, analyzed, and discussed, allowing readers to apply these examples more broadly. Most of these cases are from patients at the Nanjing Research Center for Children's Mental Health, with contributions from colleagues at the center. The author has made minor revisions to these cases. Special thanks are extended to these colleagues for their participation, writing, and assistance. The case studies have been modified to conceal personal backgrounds. The author wishes to thank the cases and their families for their cooperation, as their experiences can help more children in need of counseling. The book is written as clearly and simply as possible, aiming to assist parents, caregivers, and teachers in providing appropriate upbringing and discipline for children. It also hopes to serve as a reference for mental health counselors and therapists, enabling them to apply it in their practice to improve children's mental well-being, making their lives safer, happier, and healthier.
