Features: The I Ching is the foundation of traditional Chinese culture and one of the most brilliant parts of our vast classical literature. This classic has endured thousands of years and has had an enormous impact on Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and various schools of thought. Over 3,000 specialized works on the I Ching have been written throughout history, creating a unique academic phenomenon in the history of human culture. No book in the world is as ancient, mysterious, or profound as the I Ching, which is hailed as the source of Chinese civilization. This book is the sixth volume in the Essence of I Ching Thought series. This series includes: Essence of I Ching Thought: Journey into Fuxi—Deciphering the Timeless Traces of the I Ching, Essence of I Ching Thought: The Numerical Principles of Chinese Natural Philosophy, Essence of I Ching Thought: The I Ching and Great Wisdom, Essence of I Ching Thought: I Ching Illustrated Treasury, Unveiling the Mystery of the I Ching—The Justice of the I Ching, Comprehensive Theory of I Ching Image and Number—Expanding Horizons from a Scientific Perspective, Essence of I Ching Illustrated Treasury, An Introduction to the I Ching. This book focuses on "the I Ching of heaven, earth, and nature," which refers to the He Tu (River Map), Luo Shu (Lo River Map), Taiji Diagram (Great Ultimate Diagram), Fuxi's Eight Trigrams, and Fuxi's Sixty-Four Hexagrams. Wen Wang's Eight Trigrams and Sixty-Four Hexagrams are continuations of Fuxi's trigram diagrams, hence called "post-natal." Today's binary computer principles, the sixty-four genetic codon patterns, and the fluctuation patterns of domestic and international financial markets are all replicas of the process of Fuxi's Sixty-Four Hexagrams,! Therefore, this book emphasizes approaching the source from Fuxi's I Ching diagrams. Additionally, Chen Tuan's Yi Longtu (Dragon Diagram of the I Ching), the Zheng Yi Xinfa (Correct Method of the I Ching) by the Taoist master Mai Yi, and Mr. Pang Shiwu's modern treatise on the Yi Longtu and its graph theory are all related to Fuxi's I Ching diagrams, so they are all introduced in detail. This book selects over a hundred I Ching diagrams from thousands of ancient and modern ones, categorizes them, and appends the original texts with interpretations of the diagrams, making the key points clear and prominent. Finally, the editor provides a summary. This allows readers to break free from the obscure language of the I Ching and directly and easily grasp the mysteries of the I Ching, extracting "pure and refined scientific essence" from these symbols and diagrams.
