Features: To strengthen China's physician workforce, improve the comprehensive quality of practicing physicians, protect the legitimate rights and interests of physicians, standardize physician management systems, and refine physician training programs, the State promulgated the "Practicing Physician Law of the People's Republic of China" and initiated the National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination in 1999. After years of practical experience in the examination, the National Medical Examination Commission of the Ministry of Health gradually standardized and matured the examination. To this end, the Commission organized experts and scholars in relevant fields to revise the "Outline for the National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination for Traditional Chinese Medicine (Practitioner/Assistant Practitioner)," making the examination more scientific and instructive. To align with the revised outline, help candidates prepare for the examination in a relatively short time, and systematically review and consolidate previously learned courses, we again organized experts to revise and supplement the "Study Guide for Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (Assistant Practitioner)." This ensures it accurately reflects the scope and depth required by the examination outline, catering to the needs of candidates for examination preparation. The principles of this revision remain: guided by the newly revised "Outline for the National Practicing Physician Qualification Examination for Traditional Chinese Medicine (Practitioner/Assistant Practitioner)," based on planned textbooks, with clinical focus, emphasizing the comprehensive application of theoretical knowledge, making it convenient for candidates to study while also serving as a practical resource for medical students and grassroots physicians to review and consolidate basic medical knowledge.
To adapt to the needs of social development, China promulgated the newly revised "Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" on August 28, 2004, which took effect on December 1, 2004. To facilitate candidates' understanding of the relevant content, we have added this material in the reprint. This book was completed through the collaborative efforts and hard work of all the authors. If it helps candidates successfully pass the national examination, we will be immensely gratified. With the continuous advancement of medicine, the level of the Practicing Physician Examination is also improving. We will continue to revise and refine this book based on circumstances to contribute positively to enhancing the comprehensive quality of practicing physicians in China. We sincerely welcome readers to provide their opinions and suggestions for our work. We wish all readers who use this series of books success in their efforts to become qualified Practicing Physicians (Practitioners/Assistant Practitioners) of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
