How to Add Solid Foods for a Baby with Digestive Issues

Patient's question:

Hello: My baby is almost 8 months old. A few days ago, he had infantile roseola. Due to improper feeding (eating meat paste), he has had diarrhea these past few days. After a stool test, it was found to be indigestion. Could you please tell me what supplementary foods I should give my baby to eat? Can I still give him calcium and cod liver oil? Thank you.
First follow-up question: The doctor said no medicine is needed, just eat easily digestible foods. Could you please tell me if rice porridge, fruit puree, and vegetable puree are all okay to eat?

Doctor's answer:

The baby's digestive system is weak. Parents should tailor the diet to the baby's age, offering foods that the baby's stomach can digest and absorb at this stage and are willing to accept. According to the different age characteristics of the child, the diet should gradually transition from liquid to semi-liquid (such as rice soup, mashed foods, porridge) and then to solid foods (such as soft rice, bread, etc.). For babies under one year old, when adding complementary foods, the food must be soft, fine, and smooth. For example, vegetables can be chopped, mashed, and made into vegetable puree.
