Tom Sawyer's Adventures

Author: Mark Twain
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2001-01-01
Features: Most of the stories in this book are true. Some of them are my own experiences, and the rest happened among my classmates. Huck Finn is based on a real person. Tom Sawyer also has a real-life prototype, but it's not based on one person. He is based on three children I knew, and you could say he is a character built like a house. There are strange superstitious practices in the story, which were quite popular among children and slaves in the West, of course, thirty or forty years ago. Although this book is mainly written for children, I hope adults who read it can also bring back beautiful memories of childhood, recall their own feelings and actions back then, and smile at the whimsical thoughts and funny remarks they once had.
