Features: Is learning a foreign language difficult? Not really. Especially learning Japanese, for Chinese people living close to Japan, there are many advantages. Years of teaching practice have proven that with serious study for three months, most people can basically master the simple skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. Japanese has few vowel sounds, simple pronunciation, and is easy to learn and remember. Japanese characters consist of kanji and kana, with kanji accounting for over 50% in Japanese newspapers, magazines, and official documents, and many of them have similar meanings to Chinese words. Memorizing vocabulary doesn’t require as much effort and time as learning English. Japanese grammar is also one of the simplest and most flexible among major foreign languages. Japanese idiomatic expressions are fixed ways of speaking that have formed over a long period in Japanese. Because many kanji in Japanese have meanings that are not entirely the same as in Chinese, they are more prone to ambiguity than other languages, making them one of the difficulties for Japanese learners. Currently, there are not many dictionaries in China that include Japanese idiomatic expressions. This Portable New-Comprehensive Japanese Idiomatic Expressions Dictionary was compiled to meet the needs of Japanese learners. The book includes approximately 3,700+ Japanese idiomatic expressions, each followed by Chinese translations and accompanied by 1-3 example sentences.
