Features: Huang Chang excels in reading old books with new perspectives, discussing old plays with fresh insights, and analyzing old history with new arguments. This is because he skillfully grasps the relationship between the old and the new, which is also the connection between history and reality. It is the key to pursuing knowledge throughout the ages. Regarding the definition of democracy and freedom, there are many diverse views, not just two. Can it be summarized in simple terms as: "If the people can speak the truth, democracy and freedom are achieved, and the nation will truly prosper and be at peace." At this point, my writing lacks brilliance, just the usual old talk. But I believe there will still be many old and young scholars debating the truth. In this regard, I am optimistic, yet not entirely so. Whether to rejoice or mourn, let's wait and see. I pause to write, then think of my wife, who has always been my every reader. This time, should I show her first, or not? If I do, she remains silent but doesn't seem to draw a line between us. I am reassured and proceed to share it.
