Theoretical knowledge must be linked to practical application, combining clinical experience to master the fundamental skills of traditional Chinese medicine pediatrics. This textbook is divided into 10 chapters: Chapter 1: Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics, Chapter 2: Child Health Care, and Chapters 3 to 10 cover clinical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine pediatrics, systematically introducing neonatal diseases, respiratory system diseases, spleen-related diseases, heart-related diseases, liver-related diseases, kidney-related diseases, infectious diseases, parasitic diseases, and other conditions. The appendix includes pediatric massage therapy, the standard for measuring children's physical development, and an index of formulas and proprietary Chinese medicines used in this textbook. The dosage of drugs listed in this book refers to neonatal dosage in the neonatal diseases chapter, while other chapters generally indicate dosage for children aged 1–3 years. Dosage for children of other ages can be adjusted accordingly. Special preparation methods such as decocting first (e.g., Ling), decocting last (e.g., Mint), wrapping for decoction (e.g., Plantain seeds), dissolving (e.g., Collagen), and separately administering (e.g.,) are generally not noted, and should be used according to knowledge from Chinese Materia Medica during clinical practice.
