Features: The daughter of a seasoned newspaper editor, Wang Rui began writing stories and hosting radio programs for teenagers from a young age. Like many outstanding individuals of her generation, her dream was to study in the United States, and she attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she embarked on her experience outside of China. This accumulation of overseas experience enabled her to publish novels in the U.S. and was hailed as an astonishing new voice in literature. Anne has been celebrated since her youth. Today, Anne shares her warm and insightful experiences navigating between two languages, offering her precious insights without reservation—a truly invaluable gift! I love how Anne expresses her passion and interest for language in this book, whether it’s Chinese, English, or any other language or pursuit—only interest is our best teacher. Those specific methods and tips are even more precious, as they are the essence distilled by Anne during her journey of mastering language, pure and unadulterated.
