Features: This book is a monograph that perfectly combines knowledge of smart antennas with practical measurement data. It first reviews IS-95PCS and cellular CDMA, then discusses the application of smart antenna technology, from simple beamforming networks to complex multi-user spatial processing systems. It elaborates on key points in smart antenna development, analyzes CDMA-related issues and fundamental design methods. The main contents include the characterization of air-time wireless channels, optimal spatial filtering and adaptive algorithms, as well as RF positioning systems. This book is suitable for communication engineering professionals and graduate students.
