Features: The Imperially Compiled Medical Canon of Golden Mirror (90 volumes) is a large-scale medical series compiled by Wu Qian and others from the Imperial Medical College under the Qing government. It was published by the Wuying Palace Book Office in the seventh year of the Qianlong reign (1742 AD) (known as the Wuying Palace edition) and became a widely popular medical textbook in the Qing Dynasty. This book is one of the ancient medical series or complete works that are completely comprehensive, concise, and practical. Its content is extensive, covering the differential diagnosis and treatment of various clinical diseases. The theoretical discussions are profound yet accessible, with many ingenious and flexible approaches, and the language is concise and to the point, with materials closely aligned with clinical practice. Therefore, the General Catalogue of the Siku Quanshu praises it as "featuring illustrations, explanations, and rhymes, making it easy for learners to study and convenient to memorize." For over 200 years since its publication, this book has been a must-read for medical students and has been favored by clinical practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine in various specialties. There are many Qing Dynasty editions of this book, but the Wuying Palace edition is the most exquisite. In 1963, our press published a printed edition based on the Wuying Palace edition. Now, referring to this printed edition, we have thoroughly reorganized the Wuying Palace version, conducted a meticulous review, and retypeset it to provide a valuable resource for Western and Chinese medical professionals to study traditional Chinese medicine, as well as for clinical reference by doctors specializing in various traditional Chinese medicine disciplines.
