Author: Zha Youliang

Publishing Date: 2003-07-01
Features: "Poetry of Education: Innovation," this is the author's second poetry collection. It is a companion piece to the author's previous collection, "Poetry of Education: Childhood." This collection is also divided into three parts: Science and Life, Education and Life, and Philosophy and Life, collectively known as "Lyrical Poems of Science and Education." The collection contains 138 poems. The author's greatest characteristic is maintaining a childlike heart. The central theme of her poetry is the pursuit of innovation. The author has been engaged in poetry creation alongside her scientific research, educational practice, and life exploration. Science, education, and art are deeply interconnected. The author has attempted to integrate science, education, philosophy, and poetry, pioneering innovative approaches. In today's advocacy of "Raising the Nation through Science and Education," "Science and Education Poetry" deserves its place. Poetry values imagery but does not exclude abstraction; it values emotion but does not exclude reason; it values intuition but does not exclude logic. These poems are the natural expression of the author's emotions and the self-disclosure of her soul under special circumstances. The author appreciates the beauty of obscure poetry, yet she primarily practices transparent poetry. The obscure approach is shallow in entry but deep in exit; the transparent approach is deep in entry but shallow in exit. Obscurity and transparency are complementary modes, better able to express the essence of poetry. Poetry values authenticity, where authenticity lies in practice; poetry values goodness, where goodness lies in emotion; poetry values beauty, where beauty lies in innovation.
