It addresses the ideological, political, moral, psychological, and success-related issues in the growth process of vocational college students, guided by Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory, in line with the requirements of the "Three Represents" theory, taking the education of worldview, life outlook, values, moral outlook, success outlook, and professional ethics as the main thread, to educate and guide vocational college students to strengthen their ideological and moral cultivation. The "Ideological and Moral Cultivation" course is a necessary step for every vocational college student to strengthen their ideological and moral cultivation and a required course for their success. The purpose and main task of the "Ideological and Moral Cultivation" course are: actively promote the important thought of the "Three Represents" into classrooms, textbooks, and students' minds; implement the important thought of "governing the country with virtue" and the spirit of the "Implementation Plan for Citizen Moral Construction"; educate and guide vocational college students to correctly understand higher vocational education, themselves, their environment, and the characteristics of the times; conduct socialist moral and citizen moral education for vocational college students with the core of serving the people and the principle of collectivism; improve the ideological and moral level and moral evaluation ability of vocational college students, and cultivate noble ideals and sentiments and good moral qualities; guide and help vocational college students to establish a Marxist worldview, life outlook, values, moral outlook, and success outlook, to establish a great ideal of communism and Marxist belief, to become builders and successors of the socialist cause who are "idealistic, moral, cultured, and disciplined."
