The passage of time has been swift. Since 1975, when I began teaching the course on at the Department of Law and the Graduate Institute of Law at National Taiwan University, it has been a quarter of a century. Throughout this period, teaching and learning have grown together, allowing me to gain some insights into the theory and practice of, though they have never been entirely solid. Over the years, I have written several articles on. These writings were motivated by various circumstances that sparked the idea to start writing. The style of these articles falls between a textbook and a specialized treatise. Overall, there are still many topics that need to be supplemented. However, I believe that it may take another two years to achieve a preliminary completeness, and the volume might also be too large to handle. Therefore, I will first publish the articles related to the general principles of as the first and second volumes. The arrangement of the third volume and beyond will correspond to the first and second volumes to facilitate readers in categorizing the articles in each volume.
Regarding the various parts of, the book on was rewritten and republished in April of this year. One of the key focuses of the rewrite was its connection with the general principles or theory of, allowing for mutual reference.
I would like to express my special gratitude to my mentor, Justice Wang Zaijian, for accepting me as his disciple and giving me the opportunity to teach at National Taiwan University, thus gaining a valuable learning experience. I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation to my doctoral advisor, Dr. Josef Esser, for whom I have infinite gratitude!
As learning has no end, if there are any shortcomings in my discussions, I sincerely invite my teachers and esteemed scholars from all walks of life to kindly offer your guidance. I would be truly grateful.
