It includes 240 types of medicinal materials and TCM compound preparations, with each entry featuring Chinese name, Pinyin name, Latin name, origin, botanical morphology description and illustrations, main production areas, harvesting and processing methods, macroscopic identification characteristics and medicinal material illustrations, microscopic identification characteristics of transverse sections and powders and microscopic illustrations, major chemical components, physicochemical identification methods, and efficacy. This textbook is suitable for students of various TCM and Western medicine disciplines starting from the diploma level, particularly for those who have not taken courses in botany, zoology, or mineralogy.
