Features: This book is a vocational college textbook for five-year programs. It is one of the content areas of the "Research, Practice, and Reform of the Teaching Content System for Chemistry Courses in Vocational and Technical Education" approved by the Ministry of Education's "Project Plan for Reform and Construction of Talent Cultivation Models and Teaching Content Systems in New Century Vocational and Technical Education." (Project No. Ⅲ29—2). The Ministry of Education stated in the document that "the approved projects are major educational and teaching research initiatives organized by the Ministry of Education, which hold significant importance for promoting the reform and development of vocational and technical education in China." Our research goal is to reform the past model where chemistry textbooks for different majors had largely identical content. Instead of "chemistry close to medicine," we aim to adopt "medicine-oriented chemistry," based on the training objectives and guided by the principles of practicality and sufficiency. We also focus on reflecting the forefront of related disciplines to develop a new edition of the vocational and technical college textbook "Medicinal Chemistry." This book simplifies structural theory, removes complex reaction mechanisms, and adds content such as food chemistry, polymer chemistry, environmental chemistry, and pharmaceutical chemistry. It enables students to grasp chemical knowledge in daily life, which is highly beneficial for disease prevention and treatment. Topics such as the relationship between drug molecular structure and pharmacological activity, and chemical incompatibilities during medication preparation, provide students with useful knowledge for future medical treatment and medication dispensing.
