Features: The area of Liukeng is 3.61 square kilometers, with a population of over 4,000. The villagers claim to be descendants of Dong Zhongshu. It once flourished as a "city of ten thousand households" as described by Xu Xiake. The entire village seems frozen in time, becoming a living fossil of ancient social changes and the accumulation of folk traditions. This series of books is research-oriented and aims to rescue, so we do not select well-known settlements for study, but rather uncover those that are obscure yet valuable. We are unable to turn back time. However, we are determined to devote all our energy to immediately carry out research on rural architecture.
