Features: This dictionary includes nearly 2,000 entries, covering four aspects: comprehensive litigation law, criminal procedure law, civil procedure law, and administrative procedure law, basically encompassing the main content of China's "three major litigation systems." Since the "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China" was revised on March 14, 1997, and came into effect on October 1 of the same year, it has been six years. During these six years, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has successively enacted one single criminal law, namely the "Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Punishing the Crimes of Fraudulently Purchasing Foreign Exchange, Evading Customs Duties, and Illegally Trading Foreign Exchange," four criminal law amendments, and six legislative interpretations; the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate have also successively issued over 100 judicial interpretations compatible with the Criminal Code. These contents fully reflect the significant developments and changes in China's criminal legislation and criminal justice. To some extent, these developments and changes have been reflected in some textbooks or other works. In order to fully reflect the developments and changes in criminal legislation and criminal justice in criminal reference books and provide more readers with an understanding of them, this is the purpose of compiling the "Practical Criminal Law Dictionary."
