Features: Su Liqun was born in Chongqing in December 1945 and completed his primary and secondary education in Beijing. In 1963, he entered the Central Academy of Drama. In 1973, he became a scriptwriter for Hunan Provincial Theater. In 1981, he was transferred to the All-China Federation of Trade Unions' cultural and artistic troupe after his play Silence in the Deep Night achieved great success. In 1984, he immigrated to the UK, first working at the BBC radio station, and has been teaching at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, since 1984. Over the years, he has been engaged in creative work in various fields, including novels, dramas, and film scripts. His major works include:
