This book includes the principles of kite flight and the principles of kite making; combining theory with practice, it introduces 200 kite designs from simple to complex, accompanied by line drawings. Some of the kites are personally created or improved by the author, while the color pages feature kites personally made and photographed by the author. In the section on flying techniques, the focus is on multi-line control kites; finally, kite repair and collection are introduced. It is hoped that beginners, while inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese kites, will not adhere rigidly to conventions, broaden their horizons, and skillfully apply modern science, introducing new technologies and processes.
