Regrettably and horrifyingly, amidst the clamor, some uneducated and unscrupulous individuals have emerged, writing various pamphlets to promote superstition, confuse public perception, poison the masses, and enrich themselves.
Fengshui is a cultural phenomenon that has been passed down from ancient times, a divination method for choosing auspicious times and avoiding inauspicious ones, a widely practiced folk custom, a study of the relationship between the environment and human beings, and a combination of theory and practice. Fengshui can be divided into two main parts: Yang (living spaces) and Yin (burial grounds). Yang refers to living spaces where people reside and carry out activities, while Yin refers to burial mounds for the deceased.
Fengshui theory is divided into the Form School and the Qi School. The former emphasizes judging auspiciousness and inauspiciousness based on the shapes of mountains and rivers, while the latter focuses on using Yin-Yang and the I Ching to make judgments. The core of Fengshui is "Shengqi" (life force). Its concept is complex, involving dragon veins, open spaces (mingtang), (), rivers, directions, and more. It has many taboos, with specific requirements for time, direction, and location.
