This teaching material has received praise from all sectors of society across the country after a three-year trial period and is now officially published by Hubei People's Publishing House.
"Children's Abacus and Mental Arithmetic" integrates knowledge, fun, science, and systematicity, featuring vivid illustrations and an engaging, enjoyable learning experience, fully reflecting the characteristics of abacus and mental arithmetic teaching as well as early childhood education. It serves as an effective approach for quality education for children. The primary level focuses on abacus and mental arithmetic addition and subtraction within 10, where the concept of complements is directly integrated into the teaching of complements. The intermediate level emphasizes abacus and mental arithmetic with carrying and borrowing. The advanced level covers abacus and mental arithmetic for multiplication and division, with the multiplication method also introducing the operation method from lower to higher digits to align with primary school curricula.
The compilation of the entire teaching material takes into account children's learning abilities, making it easy to understand and progressive with a scientific structure. This teaching material is suitable for children in the middle and upper classes of kindergarten, preschool, and primary school, and is accompanied by teacher's guides and supplementary exercises.
