Features: The "Spirited Series" collection gathers academic essays and lyrical prose from 10 renowned scholars in the humanities and social sciences. It was jointly produced by Dongfang Publishing House and the "Linzhong Road Studio," arranged in a format of one volume per author, with each volume containing approximately 100,000 words. Readers can gain a comprehensive view of the scholars' styles as a whole or savor the nuances of each volume in detail. Here, there are Ji Xianlin's Old Cat, Wu Zuguang's My Winter Has Been Too Long, Feng Yidai's A Letter with No Recipient, Liu Mingjiu's Brother, I, Guo Hong'an's The Happiness of Writing, Huang Zongying's I Remain the Same, Tang Yuemei's Mishima Yukio and the Martyrdom Painting, Ye Weiqiu's The Temptation of Snow Country, Yan Wenjing's I Am Just an Uninvited Guest, and Gao Mang's The Withered Tree. The profound knowledge, literary prowess, and deep understanding of life of these scholars have shaped the Spirited Series's ethereal, graceful, concise, and fresh style. Despite the authors' average age nearing 80, the words and ideas in the books show no signs of "old age." At 88, Yang Xianyi wrote in the preface to the Spirited Series: "Publishing such collections with the charm of traditional scholars is always a good thing. I hope these writings can be compiled in these new times, allowing readers to encounter some genuine and non-illusory meanings." The books contain no literary gimmicks, leaving readers refreshed and inspired. This series is a collection with the charm of traditional scholars, carefully edited from the authors' years of writing life, consisting of essays,, and reflections. With an average age nearing 80, the authors can be considered "ethereal figures." "Ethereal and illusory" yet practical and not illusory. This series offers certain help to those who love literature.
