It provides a geographical and natural environment overview of counties, along with detailed representations of administrative divisions, settlements, water systems, roads, scenic spots, and open ports in provincial/city and county maps. The content is comprehensive, place names are accurate, and the data is up-to-date. Urban area maps focus on reflecting the street layouts and overall urban landscapes of provincial/city administrative centers. The statistical data in this atlas primarily adopts figures from the "Administrative Division Atlas of the People's Republic of China," compiled by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC and published by China Map Publishing House. The depiction of China's national boundaries follows the 1:4 million-scale "Topographic Map of the People's Republic of China" published by China Map Publishing House in 1989. Provincial, prefecture-level, and county-level boundary lines are revised based on the latest 1:5 kilometer boundary survey data provided by the provincial civil affairs building. Due to the limitations of map scale, significant cartographic generalization has been applied to these boundary lines during drawing, so they cannot be used as official boundary references and are only for reference.
