Features: Looking back at the threshold of the new century, this series showcases the inner journey of the Chinese people a century ago as they crossed into the 20th century! Written amidst flames and blood, it documents the disintegration of China's long feudal society and the agonizing transformation into a semi-feudal and semi-colonial society. It records the arduous path of the Chinese people as they entered the 20th century; it records the exploration and sacrifices made by the Chinese people for the future of the people and the destiny of the nation. Today, with the smooth return of Hong Kong and Macau, and as the Chinese people have stood up and are becoming prosperous, taking a century-long reflection on the China that stumbled at the door of the 20th century holds particular significance. Learning from the past to create the future is the very purpose of our editing "Selected Poems and Prose of Modern Literary Masters."
